The final resource available to the self in its attempt to penetrate and influence reality is the radical capacity for self-sacrifice inherent in the sefirah of Malchut (,Kingdom). Only by relegating one's self interest can the integral needs of others be served. A true understanding of this principle is a prerequisite for entering the arena of political science and government. Political Science represents our efforts to organize and perfect leadership and authority. True leadership requires an acceptance of the Divine mandate to rule with justice and benevolence, and that acceptance emerges from a deep inner humility.
